A little bit about me!
I have always loved to dance and my first memories of dancing are from when I was 3 years old when my Granny decided to teach me tap dancing. We used to put down a hard board on the bedroom floor and dance to her favourite songs such as Chattanooga Choo Choo and Tuxedo Junction.
I attended ballet, jazz and tap classes throughout my childhood and I have to be honest, I was much more interested in dance than any schoolwork!
After completing a 3 year Professional Dance Course at Edinburgh Theatre School of Dance and Drama, I became a professional dancer in 1998 and travelled the world for 18 years, working for various cruise lines as a Dancer, Dance Captain and Cast Manager before becoming a Dance Project Supervisor for Princess Cruises in 2016.
I spent 4 years living in Los Angeles, California teaching dance for Princess Cruises before Covid hit the world. After returning to live in Scotland in July 2020 I continued to teach dance but decided to branch out and become my own boss! After qualifying as a Fitsteps® instructor and Level 3 Pilates instructor, I started my first FitVibe classes in August 2021 and since then I have also qualified as a Posebarre instructor and most recently, a Purestretch instructor.
My aim is to bring dance and fitness to the community with an emphasis on making it fun! Exercise is one of the best ways to improve our emotional state, reducing levels of stress, anxiety and depression. Dance, or any form of exercise, releases endorphins, the "happy hormone" which is a chemical that triggers positive energy and good vibes .... FITVIBE'S!!!!
